▶ About This Opportunity
Responsibilities
We have an amazing opportunity available on our Fuels Strategy Team! The Fuels Strategy Analyst supports the strategic objectives of the Fuels department with robust data analysis. You will leverage facts, objectivity, and output from data-driven tools to enhance decision-making capabilities of across all Fuels teams (Supply, Transportation, Brands, Retail Pricing, Wholesale, and Environmental). Provide analysis on both ad hoc requests and on-going data needs. Develop process and analytical tool improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Cross Functional Team Collaboration – Our team touches all the departments and aspects of the fuel business here at 7-Eleven to provide insight into market level performance and forecasts. No two days are the same in this position as you are fostering and building relationships across every team. If you enjoy fast paced and team collaboration, this is a position for you!
- Reporting and Analysis – Reporting daily will be a key function in this role. You will use several reporting tools to generate reports, but more importantly your story telling skills will come in handy to drive these newly found opportunities to the organization.
- Natural Curiosity and goal driven – Your high level of curiosity leads to self-learning in a very rapidly changing environment and you will be the “go-to” subject matter expert on all things fuel. You will seek out, find opportunities that provide value and drive business decisions in a consultative manner to every audience member on the fuels team.
- Communication and Influence – You will be presenting your analytical findings and strategic decks sometimes in a fun story telling format and will remain cool, calm and efficient. Sometimes, healthy debate may arise, and we need confidence and these influence skills to help support what the trends are telling us.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- Expert proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required
- Proficiency in SQL/ Relational Databases, Power BI required
- Exposure to the following preferred: Databricks, Access, Python, R, Tableau
Preferred Qualifications:
- Provide daily, weekly, and quarterly reports and serve as Subject Matter Expert for Fuels reporting
- Understanding of convenience/retail store industry
- Create analytical tools and enhance processes when working cross-functionally with business partners to optimize business performance
- Liaison between Fuels, Accounting, and IT to establish and maintain analytical systems to drive improvements
- Intellectually curious and exhibit a passion for a fast-paced environment and dynamic industry
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and reasoning skills required
- Ability to work both independently and in a group setting to develop ideas for capturing profit for Fuels
