Summary:
The Asset Protection Specialist – Field Investigator role leads the company investigations to eliminate fraud and protect profits. The field investigations team builds investigations and documents case evidence, working closely with field and corporate Asset Protection teams, Legal, Law Enforcement and other corporate entities to see all investigations through to resolution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
conducts investigations into theft and fraud incidents occurring throughout the company. Initiates, investigates and documents all case evidence in a timely and professional manner to maximize investigative case results. Works cross-functionally with Field and Corporate Asset Protection, Legal, Law Enforcement, ORCA programs and other entities to resolve investigations. Reviews, coordinates, and executes complex fraud and integrity investigations, overseeing them through completion assuring appropriate recoveries, documentation and follow-up in conjunction with the Manager of Investigations oversight.
Ensures the execution of Investigations to support litigation through established standardized practices. Such as: evidence retention, exception based reporting routines and review, shops, internal investigations and interviews, prosecution guidelines and provide regular updates to internal partners ensuring consistency throughout the investigative process. Develop strong analytical and investigative skills with all members of the Investigations Team. Drives improved efficiency, effectiveness and productivity of investigations both internal and externally. Recruits, hires, trains and supervise field investigators and coordinates investigative activities Establish regular communication with the Director of Investigations and other key Asset Protection Partners to align the investigative function with the overall AP strategy.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
3 Years of experience in retail Asset Protection investigations
Wicklander-Zulawski Interview Certification/Qualified

- Demonstrate capacity for gathering/scrutinizing data to identify issues, opportunities, patterns, and sustainable business solutions
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to successfully oversee and manage multiple projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience as an effective public speaker
- Strong analytical knowledge with a comprehensive understanding of retail business acumen
- Experience in leading a team and executing the investigative process
