Position Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the dealership, ensuring operational excellence, outstanding customer experiences, and a thriving team culture. This role requires a leader who can drive results, inspire teams, and uphold the iconic Harley-Davidson brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all dealership operations including Sales, Service, Parts, MotorClothes, and F&I.
- Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop top talent across all departments.
- Foster a customer-first culture, ensuring world-class service at every touchpoint.
- Maintain and grow strong relationships with the Harley-Davidson Motor Company and the local riding community.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer programs, dealership policies, and industry regulations.
- Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure proper merchandising and showroom presentation.
- Promote dealership events, rides, and community involvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of senior management experience in automotive or motorcycle dealership operations (Harley-Davidson experience preferred).
- Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and driving operational success.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Passion for motorcycles, the Harley-Davidson brand, and the riding lifestyle.
- Exceptional customer service mindset with outstanding communication skills.
- Proficiency in dealership management systems (DMS - Talones, CRM - DP360, IMS - MotoMate) and Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs.
- Ability to work weekends and attend dealership/community events as needed.
