Compensation & Benefits
The Motorcycle Technician role is a full-time position with on-target earnings of $37,000-$90,000 per year. Commission and incentive opportunities are available, and compensation is paid biweekly. 7 Hills Harley-Davidson offers a wide array of benefits including employee discounts, sales training, and personal development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics on Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
· Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
· Install and customize motorcycle parts and accessories according to customer requests.
· Conduct pre-delivery inspections as well as pre-owned safety services to ensure every bike leaving the dealership is in top condition.
· Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
· Document services performed, communicate findings and recommendations with Service Management.
· Stay up to date with Harley-Davidson technical training and certifications.
Qualifications
· Experience: 2 years as a motorcycle technician, preferred Harley-Davidson experience.
· Education: Certification from an accredited motorcycle repair program or equivalent on-the-job experience.
· Skills: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills; proficiency with specialized tools.
· Certifications: Harley-Davidson certifications are a plus but not required.
· Other: Passion for motorcycles and the Harley-Davidson brand; excellent attention to detail; ability to work in a fast-paced environment, Positive and professional demeanor, Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Valid driver’s license.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, sit, stand, push and pull.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- Requires use of both hands.
- Requires the ability to balance and push a 600 lb. motorcycle.
- Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
- Potential exposure to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other materials in shop.
- Occasionally exposed to exhaust fumes and other airborne particles.
