How We Serve
A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is a technically skilled, detail-oriented professional with exceptional interpersonal skills and will serve a role connecting with patients, Spiras Care Team members, providers, and others involved in the care of the patient. This role will take direction from the clinical team and will have varied responsibilities that range from telephonic interaction with patients to working directly with the patient via direction from other care team members to being accountable for communication, data, coordination, and additional support needs for the patient. The CMA will have the opportunity to regularly engage with patients and providers to ensure the patient is receiving exceptional care and support. This role will also ensure that patients and providers are well informed, aligned, and coordinated.
This individual will develop relationships with, assist and communicate with others about their health care. A typical day will include a balance of coordinating with other Spiras clinicians, calling patients and providers, researching resources available to support identified patient needs, monitoring information on remote monitoring devices, and documenting information and tasks in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). This role will have a direct and immediate impact on the lives of the patients they serve.

- Ability to research and identify resources to successfully complete the referral process
- Manage remote monitoring program
- Assist clinicians with patient follow up as needed
- Provides patient education
- Accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions
