You have deep knowledge of and experience with manufacturing processes. You understand the importance of building relationships, establishing order, and maintaining clear communication channels. As a Operational Excellence Manager, you are a leader who is willing to listen and inspire others by your actions. Your role as the Operational Excellence leader, this person will drive OpEx deployment at the plant. This individual should be a strong team player with highly developed communication and presentation skills. This position reports to the engineering manager with dotted reporting to the GBU/Region OpEx Lead.

What you'll be doing
- Drive OpEx program deployment at our site within the operations functions
- Ensure each applicable function has OpEx support infrastructure and deployment plan
- Work closely with department management to better understand how OpEx can assist in their continuous improvement journey
- Develop an OpEx team support and deployment plan
- Assist in the coordination and development of the organization’s Operational Excellence deployment plan to include EMS, MIP, Certification Programs, Best Practices Sharing, and others
- Assists leadership in establishing baseline and target metrics for key processes
- Work with leadership in installing organizational support for Operational Excellence (reviews, communications, rewards, software, etc.)
- Coach and mentor site-wide Black Belt and Green Belt candidates to ensure timely completion of their quality and/or cost focused projects- ultimately leading to the candidate’s certification
What you'll bring
- BS/BA degree or equivalent degree in Business Management, Engineering, or other related field of study. MBA, MS or other technical graduate degree preferred.
- Certified Green or Black Belt preferred but may pursue certification while in role
- Demonstrated knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing principles with a minimum 5-7 years of business operations and/or plant manufacturing or engineering experience, which includes a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated process improvement success
- Must have experience managing teams and developing support programs
- Must be able to directly lead and/or co-lead high-impact process improvement projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects. Demonstrated skills in planning, budgeting and project management directed toward achievement of business goals
- Proven skills working with cross-functional teams
- Strong coaching, facilitating, negotiating and influencing skills with the ability to drive change
- Excellent reading, writing and verbal communication and platform skills in local language as well as in English
- Strong teaching and presentation skills required
- Duties may require overtime work, including nights and weekends
- Use of hands and fingers to manipulate office equipment is required
- Position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time
- This is a safety-sensitive position for purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $104,00 - $156,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentive.
