This position assists the Guest Service Manager with overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the front desk, maximizes profitability, and ensures high levels of guest satisfaction are achieved. This position may direct the work of others, i.e. delegate tasks, and provide training & support, and resources to the front desk staff.

Position Details:

Location: 76 Main, Nantucket, MA
Seasonal Position: April 1st – December 15th
Starting Pay: $20 per hour, based on experience
Housing Available – A shared room with a college student.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Supervising the Front Desk Team – Training and mentoring staff to ensure seamless daily operations.
Delivering Exceptional Guest Service – Creating personalized experiences for high-end travelers.
Managing Reservations & Guest Inquiries – Acting as the go-to resource for all things Nantucket.
Assisting with Branding & Social Media – Supporting hotel marketing initiatives on Instagram, Facebook, and more.
Planning & Executing Pop-Up Events – Collaborating with local brands for unique guest experiences.
Contributing to Revenue Strategies – Gaining insight into budgeting and business operations.
Hiring & Training Seasonal Staff – Developing leadership skills in a fast-growing boutique brand.

Experience Preferred – Minimum 1-4 years in hospitality, front desk, or customer service roles.
A Strong Leader – Able to train and mentor seasonal staff in a fast-paced setting.
A Guest-Focused Professional – Someone who thrives on delivering luxury experiences.
A Multi-Tasker with a Can-Do Attitude – Comfortable handling multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Experience / Education        

  • Minimum of 2 years prior customer service experience preferred; general knowledge of bookkeeping and audit procedures helpful; high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and work experience. 

Physical Demands

  • This is a physically demanding job that requires extended periods of walking, standing and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds (computer paper, guest luggage etc.). Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable eligible individuals to perform the essential functions.
