About the Role
Client is seeking a Licensed Civil Engineer to lead a team and oversee civil engineering and design projects. This role requires expertise in grading, drainage design, hydrology calculations, hydraulic evaluations, and permit submissions. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, capable of managing projects from inception to completion, and comfortable collaborating with clients, architects, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team in performing civil engineering and design tasks as a Licensed Professional.
- Oversee grading and drainage designs, including driveways, building pads, and erosion control plans.
- Conduct hydrology calculations and hydraulic evaluations for proposed drainage features.
- Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create and review civil design drawings.
- Engage with potential clients, discuss new projects, and draft professional service agreements.
- Collaborate with project team members, including colleagues, clients, architects, and contractors.
- Conduct on-site evaluations, construction observations, and inspections.
- Respond to client, consultant, and contractor inquiries regarding project progress.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, contractors, and designers throughout the design and construction process.
- Perform pre- and post-design site visits to assess conditions and ensure project conformance.
Requirements
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) – Required (Deal Breaker).
- 2 years of civil engineering experience in grading, drainage, and site development.
- Strong technical proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Knowledge of local permit requirements and regulations.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for client and team interactions.
Salary : $90,000 - $170,000
