Job Overview
The Mine Manager will oversee daily mining operations, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining safety and compliance with regulations. This role involves supervising the mining crew, managing equipment and resources, coordinating mine planning activities, and ensuring timely reporting to regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and assign daily tasks to the mining crew.
- Ensure compliance with TDEC, MDEQ, and company safety regulations.
- Manage mining resources, including personnel, equipment, and consumables.
- Oversee ore extraction, ensuring adherence to mine plans and ore control standards.
- Coordinate with Corporate Mine Planning for site mine plans and exploration drilling strategies.
- Utilize AutoCAD, ArcGIS, GPS technology, and drone flights for mine mapping and pit progression updates.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery, equipment, and the mine site.
- Lead daily safety briefings, compliance audits, and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure timely repairs on equipment.
- Prepare and submit necessary mining permits, reports, and regulatory documentation.
- Work closely with production teams to meet operational goals and optimize resources.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field OR 10 years of direct mining experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, or similar software.
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with mobile equipment in a mining environment.
- 0-5 years in a mining environment, with 0-3 years in a supervisory role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in operating mobile mining equipment.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Salary : $90,000 - $150,001
