What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist position at 77 Consultants?
Core Duties : The duties include, but are not limited to the following;
Perform a full range of physical therapist services in accordance with the scope of clinical privileges granted by the MTF.
Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on an evaluation of the patient.
Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function.
Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in performing various physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily-living activities, and in use of assistive and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
Administer soft tissue mobilization, applying knowledge of mobilization techniques and body physiology.
Administer traction to relieve pain, using traction equipment.
Record treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart and / or automated systems.
Coordinate treatment with physician and other staff members to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment program and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of the patient's health care. Contact referring physicians regarding patient care concerns, as required.
Perform prevention and wellness activities, education, screening, and promote positive health behaviors. Additional Duties : 5.1. Certified in dry needling highly preferred; if not certified, will complete training for certification within 12 months of start date 5.2. Orient, instruct and direct work activities of assistants, and technicians. 5.3. Participate in peer review activities. 5.4. Provide clinical supervision to military and civilian technicians. 5.5. Peer review / performance review process : As with any healthcare professional, an ongoing professional peer review process and periodic review of performance is required and accomplished at least annually as part of the process. Minimum Qualifications :
Degree : Masters degree or Doctoral degree in Physcial Therapy
Education : Graduate from a college or university approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
Certification : Certified in dry needling highly preferred; if not certified, will complete training for certification within 12 months of start date
Experience : Minimum 2 years experience as a PT within the past 36 months.
Licensure : Active, unrestricted license from any state.
Life Support Certification : Possess current ARC or AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
Security : Must possess ability to pass a Government background check / security clearance. Benefits
