The Project Manager III serves as a subject matter expert in providing project management support for small to medium-sized company initiatives. This role, as an individual contributor, necessitates the exercise of considerable judgment to make informed decisions regarding project management in accordance with established processes and procedures. The Project Manager III is responsible for formulating recommendations that address various stakeholders both within and across divisions.
Hybrid - 3 days On Site
**Key Duties:**
- Provides professional support to the Enterprise PMO team.
- Develops, recommends, and maintains project plans, charters, and schedules tailored to customer requirements.
- Collaborates with project sponsors or Senior Project Managers to achieve alignment and establish project business objectives, measurable benefits, success criteria, scope, deliverables, and constraints that may impact project delivery.
- Monitors project schedules, costs, and overall progress to ensure projects are completed within the designated timeframe and meet the objectives outlined in the project charter.
- Communicates project status to participants and stakeholders effectively, both in writing and through formal presentations.
- Distills complex concepts into clear and concise communications while tailoring messages to the intended audience.
- Creates project scorecards and contributes to executive-level reporting.
- Leads teams in project execution, ensuring adherence to established company project management methodologies and standards.
- Organizes meetings with various work teams to collect and disseminate project information, plan tasks and resources effectively, generate timelines, and facilitate a consensus
driven process for deliverables.
- Identifies and communicates any complex unresolved issues or potential timeline challenges, along with recommended corrective actions.
- Advises sponsors and team members on best practices, explores alternatives, and guides both the project and team toward successful outcomes.
- Independently ensures compliance with project methodologies, documentation, and processes.
- Demonstrates flexibility to work across any area within the company’s operations as required.
- Manages relationships with suppliers and vendors to support project success.
- Acts as a tactical thought partner for sponsors and team members in effective project execution.
**Job-Specific Experience, Education, and Skills Required:**
- A minimum of four years of experience in project or change management.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of the degree.
- A proven aptitude for independently managing projects while overseeing multiple objectives and tasks.
- A demonstrated ability to positively influence project outcomes through an analytical approach and instilling a sense of urgency within the project team to ensure timely completion of work.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written formats.
- Capacity to establish cross-functional and collaborative relationships with diverse business and technology groups.
- A track record of successfully leading project efforts to completion.
- Proven skills in identifying problems and collaboratively developing solutions for resolution. -
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Four to five years of project management experience required
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Demonstrated knowledge in defining and developing People Change Management and Business Readiness plans for projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or a desire to obtain the PMP certification.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Experience with Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, or other scheduling and collaboration tools.
