Location: Hybrid, Travel Required Up to 50% to Plants in Fernley, NV, Las Vegas, NV, Lovelock, NV, Reno, NV
Essential Job Functions
- Reliability & Maintenance Programs: Develop, implement, and track preventive and predictive maintenance systems, precision maintenance techniques, and capital projects to improve equipment reliability and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Failure Analysis & Corrective Actions: Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify and resolve issues. Implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Maintenance Optimization: Champion advanced maintenance programs (lubrication, vibration analysis, oil analysis, etc.) to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze inspection reports and maintenance data, provide feedback, and recommend inspection intervals.
- Project Management: Manage small to large projects to improve equipment safety, compliance, reliability, and performance.
- Documentation & Training: Develop troubleshooting guides, repair plans, and training materials. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance plant operations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
- 7-10 years of supervisory or project experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 5 years in a reliability-focused role, preferably within the mining industry.
- Hands-on experience with mining equipment such as fans, material handling systems (conveyors, elevators, airlocks, etc.), and 480-volt electrical distribution.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design, electrical systems, digital concepts, and precision maintenance techniques.
- Proficient in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
- Familiarity with CMMS systems for maintenance tracking.
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Additional Requirements:
- Ability to comply with Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) regulations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification.
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards or IFS systems.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, cost analysis, and capital justification.
