- The word "tax" is not foreign to you; you can easily explain details of your tax experience and the differences between various tax forms, such as a 1040 and an 1120.
- You enjoy public accounting and stay current with the ever-changing tax industry regulations and policies.
- You have a knack for problem-solving and can easily identify issues while providing effective solutions.
- You take pride in helping others and are ready to take on the challenge of leading a team.
- You possess knowledge of and exposure to a variety of industries and can read and interpret financial statements.
- You hold an active CPA or EA license and have 5 years of experience in public accounting tax work.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities:
A typical day as a Tax Manager may include:
- Preparing high-level tax returns for multi-million dollar organizations.
- Collaborating with staff to ensure individual and business tax returns are completed accurately and by the required deadlines.
- Coaching and mentoring staff members to enhance their skills and support their career development.
- Gathering relevant tax-related information from clients to ensure accurate tax return preparation.
- Analyzing tax situations from various angles to maximize tax benefits for clients.
- Networking and building relationships to attract new clients and business for the firm.
- Billing clients for the services and guidance provided.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
- Active CPA or EA license.
- 5 years of tax experience in public accounting.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
