The IT/VTC Technician will provide general meeting room and Video Teleconference (VTC) support for classified and unclassified conference rooms.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to maintain a Top Secret which requires U.S. Citizenship.
- 3 years' relative experience, higher education, military service, or combination of qualified experience, higher education or military service preferred.
- Must have strong customer service skills, ability to communicate with leadership, capable of general IT troubleshooting, experience supporting DoD (any service), strong general computing skills.
- Prefer familiarity with operating VTC systems and an understanding of SIPR token utility, familiarity with SSC Det 5 mission and customers. Prefer candidates with USAF or USSF support experience in any capacity.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Creates/reviews and deny, approve, or modify reservations and requests within the online conference room scheduling app. Approves access requests for individual room POC changes. Requests changes to the online conference room scheduling app as the need arises. Responds to and archives emails in the organization mailbox and elevates any issues to Government Lead. Coordinates, schedules, re-schedules, deconflicts and responds to all conference room requests within (1) business day. Secures and maintains positive control of all conference room and TACLANE keys.
- Unlocks and opens all classified conference rooms 30 minutes prior to the customer’s meeting start time. Starts the A/V or VTC system and configure screen display per customer’s request. Connects the VTC via the dial-in number, if required for the meeting. Returns the room to its original configuration after the last meeting of the day. Secures all SIPR and Crypto devices. Ensures proper system shut down before locking and securing the room.
- Ensure customers have access to the requested equipment (e.g., microphones, flags, extra tables and chairs, etc.) prior to the scheduled event.
- Coordinates with SSC Det 5 Government VTC lead, Helpdesk, Base A/V team, Base Tech Control for all IT and VC troubleshooting issues.
- Provides LRA TA services for SIPRNet Tokens as the SIPR Token Local Registration Authority (LRA) Trusted Agent (TA) Customer Support. Provides users face-to-face authentication, all required documentation before processing and filing, education on their responsibilities as token holders and how to use their tokens, their assigned SIPR tokens, initial logon PIN with directions on how to reset PIN.
- Provides verified user information to LRA. Updates token enrollment on tracking log. Receives the Certificate Registration Instructions (CRI) from the LRA. Performs certificate retrieval using the CRI. Loads the user’s certificate onto the SIPRNet token (enrolling the token). Resets SIPRNet token PINs. Accepts, retrieves, and maintains positive control of SIPRNet tokens from departing personnel or lost tokens that are turned in. Provides LRA TA services for software certificates.
- Provides users with identity authentication, required documentation before processing and filing, education on their responsibilities as certificate owners and how to use the certificates, Role-Based Attribute Authority (RBAA) sponsor letter, before processing and filing, List of Authorized Personnel (LOAP) and user acknowledgements, before processing and filing, their assigned certificate.
- Updates certificate tracking logs. Receives the Certificate Registration Instructions (CRI) from the LRA. Performs certificate retrieval using the CRI.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum
3 years' relative experience, higher education, military service, or combination of qualified experience, higher education or military service preferred.

The estimated pay range for this role is $18.00 to $21.00, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
