The Job Summary:
The Senior Engineer is to plan, schedule and lead project assignments in the evaluation, selection and adaptation of various engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Role involves working with several global manufacturing sites. The Senior Engineer should apply engineering principles in the identification of root cause and CAPA implementation. The Senior Engineer should communicate clearly the project status. Training, guidance and coaching will be provided.
The Jobholder will be required to:
- Build the business case for profit margin improvements, supplier changes and/or strategic initiatives. This involves consulting with several cross functions to estimate savings, build overall project timelines and estimate all the resource, capital and operational expenditures required.
- Plan and lead the execution of profit margin improvements, supplier changes and/or strategic initiatives. This includes constructing detailed, accurate project schedules, interfacing with development groups and technical support groups.
- Monitor and report project costs including capital and cross-functional expenses.
- Lead problem solving initiatives and implement CAPA as necessary. Apply industry recognized tools and processes for problem solving (e.g. DMAIC, FMEA, DOE, Statistical Analysis).
- Pro-actively and clearly communicate project status with core team and all levels of management.
- Writing of technical documentation in support of project deliverables and requirements, such as protocols, reports, and change control supporting documents.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to effectively operate within cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated competencies in all aspects of project management.
- Ability to apply statistical and engineering techniques to solve problems on individual/small projects.
Education and Experience:
- Hold Bachelor's in Engineering or Science and 3-5 years related experience.
