Handyman/Contractor

Job Type: Independent Contractor-Handyman

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to perform various maintenance and repair tasks for rental properties. As an independent contractor, you will handle a wide range of duties, including painting, drywall repair, remodeling, minor plumbing and electrical work, carpentry, flooring installation, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance tasks, including painting, drywall repair, and household carpentry.
• Conduct minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Install plank vinyl flooring and sheetrock.
• Maintain heating systems and install smoke detectors.
• Assist with remodeling projects and property updates.
• Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
• Communicate effectively with property owners, tenants, and managers about the status of repairs.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and flooring installation.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Reliable transportation and a full set of tools necessary for the job.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Experience Requirements:

• Prior experience in handyman services, carpentry, plumbing, or related fields is preferred but not required.

Education and Training Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Trade school certifications or relevant training in carpentry or similar fields are a plus.
• Specialty service certifications are welcomed but not required.

Compensation:

• Compensation will be project-based, with rates determined by the scope of work.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week
