Maintenance Worker A

POSITION SUMMARY:
With general guidance in a team environment, responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks of a moderate scope and nature in one or more of the following areas: plumbing, carpentry, painting, air conditioning, equipment and production machinery.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:
• Perform general maintenance duties in areas such as plumbing, carpentry, painting and air conditioning.
• Remove metal shavings, replace cutting fluids and clean machinery and around machines, lubricate machinery and other mechanical equipment.
• Perform minor repair and preventive maintenance to various types of hydraulic equipment, building plumbing and related equipment.
• Relocate production machinery and install air and water lines.
• Perform high pressure tubing and hose fabrication and machine contamination control.
• Move supplies, equipment and furniture.
• Perform other related responsibilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Two years related maintenance experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
• Familiar with pump and valve overhaul procedures, especially aerospace associated equipment.
• Ability to work from blueprints and sketches.
• Possess required tools.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Required to lift up to 50 pounds.
• May require forklift operator certificate.
• Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
