Compensation : 24 - $35 hourly

Responsibilities :

What does a Paralegal / Legal Secretary do at 805 Law Group?

Keep MCLE credits up to date

Client Intake

Timekeeping

Conducting legal research independently

Draft briefs, discovery, financial disclosures, motions, memoranda, and responses

Correspond with clients, courts, experts, opposing counsel, opposing party, and other services

Organize and manage client files

File Forms with the court using Odyssey eFile CA

Meet filing deadlines

Provide outstanding customer service to clients

Qualifications :

Paralegal Certification OR demonstrated experience and ability to perform these responsibilities

MCLE Accredited

Proficient with Judicial Council Forms, Microsoft Suite, MyCase, and Odyssey e-File CA

Strong research, written, and verbal communication skills

Experience drafting petitions, complex pleadings, financial affidavits, and discovery

Organized, multi-tasked, and detail-oriented

Works well under pressure and deadlines

Take initiative while working independently and also work as part of a team

Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact with clients and coworkers professionally

Demonstrated experience in family law is a plus

Our compensation system is competitive with all leading firms in our area. In addition to salary, we also have a bonus system based on your contribution to the Firm. The Firm recognizes billable hours, community involvement, and participation in firm committees.

We will pay for required continuing education hours and, with approval, any additional courses that directly impact our paralegals or attorneys' practice specialization. We also offer a package of benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), Profit Sharing, and paid vacation.

Salary : $24 - $35
