Our client is a fast-paced and dynamic e-tailer now actively seeking an experienced and visionary Senior HR Director with a strong background in union dynamics to play a pivotal role within their organization. You will be a key member of the People Leadership Team, contributing to the transformation of workplace culture and ensuring the development and well-being of employees under your coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive people strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives in a transforming group that’s pioneering e-commerce and grocery delivery in the US, with a specific focus on union dynamics.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership, reporting into VP People, closely communicating with our Chief People & Legal Officer and working with our US Group CEO, to ensure People initiatives support overall business objectives.
- Oversee talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and workforce planning to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Drive initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, focusing on employee satisfaction and retention, with an understanding of the complexities introduced by unionized environments.
- Establish and enforce policies and procedures that comply with legal requirements, including those specific to labor laws and union agreements.
- Provide strategic guidance on leadership development, succession planning, and initiatives related to workforce diversity and inclusion.
- Facilitate effective communication channels between management and employees, addressing concerns and promoting transparency, with a keen awareness of the communication dynamics in a unionized workforce.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of strategic leadership in senior HR roles, preferably at the Director level.
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing people strategies, especially in unionized environments.
- Strong understanding of HR dynamics, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, and performance management.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a positive workplace culture and achieve employee satisfaction and retention goals in a unionized context.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
Salary : $160,000 - $200,000
