About the Role

The Vice President of Enterprise Architecture will play a pivotal role in shaping the technology landscape for Gap Inc and its brands. This leader will drive technology and solution architecture strategies, focusing on building scalable, innovative, and customer-centric solutions. The ideal candidate is both a visionary and an executor, with a proven track record of aligning technology with business objectives and delivering measurable results.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement enterprise architecture strategies that enable digital transformation initiatives, focusing on omnichannel customer experiences, consumer analytics, and loyalty programs.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the executive team, providing insights and recommendations to address emerging business challenges and opportunities.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and technologies, ensuring the company remains competitive in the consumer goods and retail landscape.
  • Develop and manage the architecture for business, data, applications, and technology to enable seamless integration and support the company’s objectives.
  • Lead the design and implementation of solution architectures for key initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and business requirements.
  • Define and standardize processes to ensure the enterprise architecture and its various disciplines integrate seamlessly into the operational model for execution.
  • Collaborate with Global tech stakeholders and business teams to establish frameworks for prioritizing, managing, and executing architectural initiatives effectively as well to build multi-year execution ready roadmaps.
  • Drive accountability and governance by creating metrics and processes to track architectural success and alignment with business outcomes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including product development, supply chain, security / privacy, engineering, marketing, and finance, to ensure alignment and integration of architectural initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing architecture team, fostering innovation, collaboration, and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Establish governance practices to evaluate new technology / product investments, ensure compliance, and align initiatives with long-term goals.
  • Spearhead digital transformation initiatives, leveraging advanced technologies like AI / ML, IoT, and real-time analytics to drive customer engagement and operational efficiency.

Who You Are

  • 15 years of experience in technology leadership with demonstrated expertise in digital strategy, enterprise architecture, solution architecture, and designs.
  • 3–5 years of experience in the consumer goods or retail industry is required, with proven expertise in industry-specific systems, omni-channel solutions, and operational complexities.
  • Proven experience leading platform transformations including legacy system migrations in large organizations.
