Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism. The Driver will operate various vehicles, including box trucks and vans, and may be required to assist with heavy lifting and warehouse tasks.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Perform route driving, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting as necessary.
- Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks for efficient movement of products within the warehouse or during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with dispatch regarding any issues or delays.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and ensuring satisfaction during deliveries.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with company standards.
In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, drivers are expected to perform the following duties to ensure the smooth operation of 845 Move Now LLC:
Manage All Paperwork:
Complete and maintain all necessary moving and delivery paperwork accurately and promptly.Ensure that all documents are properly filed and stored as per company guidelines.
Collect Payments:
Accurately collect payments from customers upon completion of services.Provide receipts and necessary documentation to customers as required.
Remit Payments to Managers:
Ensure that all collected payments are promptly and accurately remitted to the designated managers.Maintain records of all transactions and payments for accountability and auditing purposes.
Maintain Cleanliness and Organization of Trucks:
Keep all company vehicles clean, organized, and free from debris at all times.Perform regular inspections of the truck’s interior and exterior to ensure they meet company standards.Report any maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor immediately.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving for minimum of 2 years
- Familiarity with route driving and logistics management.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks related to moving goods.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
DEFINITIONS
Drivers must:
Be 21 years of age or older.Have a verifiable driving violation record.Have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements for his/her type of vehicle.Have at least 2 years of driving experience.
ACCEPTABLE DRIVING RECORD MEANS:
No disqualifying violation in a 5-year periodMaximum combination of 3 accidents and/or major violations within a 3-year period
