The Culinary Lead plays a vital role in the success of our kitchen operations. This hands-on leader sets the pace for the team, ensuring consistency in quality, presentation, and execution. As a key member of the culinary team, the role helps share our kitchen culture and inspire excellence in each dish.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the preparation, serving, and cooking of all food - including food for special events as assigned. 
  • Cook, and grill, food items according to specified cooking methods, temperatures, and portion sizes, ensuring optimal taste, texture, and presentation. 
  • Monitor and manage cooking times to ensure that each dish is prepared and served in a timely manner, coordinating with other team members to maintain a consistent flow of orders. 
  • Maintains a complete understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. 
  • Maintains proper storage, prep, and service procedures while ensuring all equipment and workspaces to ensure sanitary conditions. 
  • Models all Anchor & Port policies and standard operation procedures are communication effectively to employees, maintained, and consistently followed. 

 Qualifications

  • Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of kitchen operations and food safety. 
  • Passion for mentorship and team development 
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt in a dynamic environment. 
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong communication skills 
  • ServSafe certification, or willingness to obtain one
