Position Summary: The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and front of the house areas. Guest room and public area entry-level preventative maintenance are included. A Maintenance Engineer will also perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment.
Detailed Description:
- Ensure the hotel’s maintenance and upkeep standards meet guest and company standards.
- Work in a neat and efficient manner, as well as help maintain the effective and efficient operations of the hotel.
- Complete all work assigned in a safe and professional manner.
- Maintain communications with supervisor to ensure all needed materials, tools, and supplies are available or on order.
- Ensure maintenance request orders are handled in a prompt and courteous manner including logging and follow up.
- Ensure customer satisfaction at all times.
- Ensure work performance is compliant to procedures, policies and expectations.
- Ensure compliance with all company, state, local and federal policies/guidelines pertaining to the maintenance of a clean, safe environment for associates, guests and vendors.
- Ensure proper operations of the hotel’s equipment and systems, to include but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, pool, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment and any other related systems and equipment.
- Communicate with Director of Engineering on a regular basis regarding the specific and overall condition of the building structures, related systems, and equipment.
- Assist any external contractors employed by the hotel to carry out maintenance work.
- Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company
- Abide by all organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
- Ability to work in various weather climates
- Must have ability to stoop, kneel or bend, and to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays, if necessary
- Must be able to work heights in excess of 15 feet
- Previous experience in a hotel/service industry is a plus
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
