Position Summary:
Position will have responsibility for the planning, execution, reporting, and administration of audits within Resolution Life Finance and Investments function. This will include, but isn’t limited to, directing the evaluation of controls, reviewing compliance with policies, procedures, and financial and investment regulations, reporting of results of audits to the appropriate management, and providing valuable insight to improve processes and controls.

Technical
Lead assigned team in:
Planning, designing, and executing both integrated and standalone audits including Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR)
Ensuring audits are conducted using the appropriate methodology and that audit scopes are comprehensive
Ensuring audits are completed to a high level of quality, integrity, and within agreed timelines
Assessing risks on an ongoing basis
Evaluate the effectiveness of financial and investment controls and processes
Manage the fieldwork of several audits simultaneously, ensuring that accurate and complete testing of the appropriate key controls to mitigate risks are performed
Evaluate corrective measures taken to address identified issues, follow up on progress being made to address open issues, and prepare audit reports for management
Monitor key business initiatives and provide insight pertaining to control issues and risk activities
Build awareness of external leading practices and benchmarks to embed within the Internal Audit function
Client
Develop strong working relationships with clients within the business areas to ensure a high degree of client engagement
Coordinate audit activities with regulators and external auditors
Proactively partner with business areas to provide audit consultation
Coordinate and direct reporting of audit results to Management and support the Audit Committee reporting
Management
Support Audit Functional Lead in achieving the vision and strategic objectives
Support Audit Functional Lead in scope and administration of a comprehensive Audit Plan
Manage, lead, coach, and advise team members
Create and lead change within the Internal Audit team
Lead with passion and clarity by setting an example to team members, establishing concrete action plans, and excelling at execution
Manage an effective working team and enable employee empowerment and career paths
Identify and manage skills gaps through training and deployment
Supervise and direct special project or investigations
Oversee and monitor the execution of audit procedures, ensuring that they are executed in an efficient and effective manner
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
10 years of experience in audit, risk management, and/or financial services / insurance industry is preferred
Bachelor’s degree with a major/minor or emphasis in Accounting, Finance or Business and advanced degree or professional certification (CPA, CIA, etc.) are required
Proven track record in leading and managing an audit team with emphasis on leading practices in risk assessment, problem solving, and impactful reporting of audits
Ability to influence key clients with suggested audit solutions
Builds effective and collaborative peer-level relationships
Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proactively identifies and resolves issues as they arise
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong focus on continuous process improvement
Sound knowledge and understanding of Accounting/Financial Risk, Insurance Risk, Market & Credit Risk, IT Risk and Compliance Risk
Strong knowledge of US GAAP/STAT, internal controls, business processes, and IIA standards
Proficiency in use of audit software (ServiceNow) is a plus
Experience with data analytics and audit automation tool is a plus
Location: West Chester, PA and New York, NY preferred (Hybrid - 2-3 days per week in the office), or open to Atlanta, GA (WFH).

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The range for the role may differ based on the location.
