Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for leading an accurate and timely work order closure process in order to efficiently run manufacturing functions and supporting financial systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pull work order variance reports daily, ensure variances are investigated and are within established parameters to ensure proper close of work orders in the JD Edwards ERP system
- Leverage data and work with inventory function to ensure cycle counts are completed to reflect usage is accurate
- Ensuring materials are correctly assigned to work orders, execute processes to ensure appropriate product is completed according to customer specifications
- Lead process on work order completion, resulting in work orders completed in a timely and accurate manner; key functions leverage this information to complete month-end close processes
- Pull and analyze data, and determine solutions, to continually improve usage-to-completion work order process to drive to zero-based waste
- Identify bill of material discrepancies that lead to work order variances
- Partner with operations to develop and execute on weekly KPI reporting, providing visibility to key stakeholders throughout the organization
- Other duties, as assigned
Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
- 3 years previous experience working with detailed processes and data
- Previous experience with advanced Microsoft Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, text-to-columns, etc.)
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime, as needed
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Advanced education in Business, Inventory or related field
- 2-years work experience in purchasing, inventory control, or related field
- Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment
- JD Edwards software programs preferred
- Demonstrated organizational skills & the ability to work on multiple high priority projects
- Extensive Knowledge regarding the Manufacturing Scheduling Process
- Understanding of the Bill of Materials structure and concepts
- Must be able to read multiple reports and identify potential issues i.e production reporting or inventory quantity errors.
- Effective written, verbal, & interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to strongly multi-task, organize, and prioritize
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
