Position Summary:

The Sr. Production Supervisor will be responsible for meeting production forecasts and driving continuous improvement through the manufacturing process. They will provide hands-on support, and direction to the operations team. This role will ensure quality and safety of the operation while driving continuous improvement of manufacturing. Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for production including daily production planning, delivery to plan, production cost, safety, quality targets, and production staffing.
• Maintain high product quality, safety and yield while ensuring optimal cost, use of resources and adherence to best safety practices.
• Maintain the facility and equipment in optimal operating conditions through implementation of a preventative maintenance system and taking appropriate corrective actions where needed.
• Hire, coach, lead and develop large scale teams made up of salaried and hourly team members.
• Support upgrades, new product, and material introductions by supporting design teams, creating process plans, tracking budget costs and project schedules, and developing countermeasures for timely completion of project goals.
• Drive safety and environmental compliance.
• Drive high quality standards in everything we do such as process control systems, monitoring and managing key product metrics, consistency in documentation, and 5S initiatives.
• Develop and deliver continuous improvement initiatives in safety, environmental, quality, cost, efficiency, and productivity objectives. Provide feedback to management on issues, benchmark other organizations for best practices.
• Collaborate across boundaries for the best outcome by working with Maintenance, EHS and Quality departments.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience.
• 5 yrs. of experience in high-volume, high-speed manufacturing; additional 3 years leadership or equivalent.
  
  

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Able to effectively communicate verbally and written in English.
• An organized problem solver, able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Team oriented with strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated conflict resolution skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with JDE.
  
  

Physical Requirements:

Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Must be able to work in a fruit / nut allergen facility.
• Must be able to sit for 6 hours per shift.
• Must be able to balance, bend, crouch, kneel, stand, stoop, and walk for 3 hours per shift.
• Must be able to reach above shoulders, climb, and work off ladder for 3 hours per shift.
• Must be able to work in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation for 6 hours per shift.
• Must be able to push, pull, and feel for 3 hours per shift.
• Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds for up to 3 hours per shift.
