Insituform Technologies, LLC is looking for an Acoustic Services Technician
Insituform Technologies LLC, an Azuria company, is a leading worldwide provider of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) and other technologies and services for the maintenance and rehabilitation of pipeline systems. Responsibilities:
- Operating Acoustic equipment (SL Rat) as part of a process to test the flowability of underground pipelines while using a software to document manhole observations.
- We operate two-man crews that consist of an operator and an assistant/laborer. The workday is spent driving the truck to the job site, setting up and tearing down equipment, operating the equipment, maintaining a safe jobsite, etc.
- Learn Insituform's products, processes, safety procedures, inspection techniques and use of equipment.
- Work with supervisors, clients, peers, and subordinates.
- Drive various vehicles (pickups to tractor-trailer rigs) to haul crews and equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, crouch, bend, reach, kneel, crawl, and stretch.
- Use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and hear without visual cues.
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to wear respirator and body harness while entering confined space.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Acoustic equipment experience preferred.
- 2 years’ experience working in an outdoor construction environment.
- Clean driving record
- Must be able to work in confined spaces.
- Must be able to travel, as much as 25% of the time over nights and weekends as needed.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and criminal history background check.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, maps and procedure manuals; ability to listen and comprehend instructions accurately to learn Insituform's products, processes, safety procedures, inspection techniques and equipment use.
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
