Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Work Shift: Days (United States of America) SYSTEM DIRECTOR, CLINICAL SERVICES | Work From Home/Remote WFH/Remote anywhere in the US (Eastern/Central Time Zone Preferred) *We operate in the Eastern Time Zone* Reports to: System Chief Operating Officer, Medical Group Primary Function/General Purpose of Position The System Director, Clinical Services will lead system-wide clinical initiatives and projects in the Bon Secours Mercy Health medical group. They will direct planning, communication, implementation and tracking of clinical initiatives and projects and will be the primary responsible party for implementation, with support from system and market leadership. They will also be expected to engage with leadership of all levels across all markets and within the Home Office to align communications and accountabilities. Essential Job Functions Directs and leads efforts in identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing solutions for Environment of Care (e.g., Life Safety, Medications & Supplies, General Equipment, Hazardous Materials, Electrical Safety, General Safety, and Security) issues with the 600 physician practices across the medical group. Directs and leads efforts in identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing solutions for Infection Control (e.g., Sterilization, Waste, Clean Supplies, Janitorial Equipment, Staff Policy Knowledge, and Personal Protective Equipment) issues with the 600 physician practices across the medical group. Directs and leads efforts in identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing solutions for Medication Management (e.g., Medication Storage, Sample Medications, Wasting Medications, Crash Carts, Drug Prep) issues with the 600 physician practices across the medical group. Directs and leads efforts in identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing solutions for Patient Safety (e.g., Provision of Care, Record of Care, Patient Safety, Patient Rights, Confidentiality, Communication, Service) issues with the 600 physician practices across the medical group. Directs and leads efforts to drive Quality improvements within the medical group (e.g., medical groups strategies and performance relating to achievement of Board-approved key performance indicators, Primary 6) This will involve directing and leading a PTC sub-committee(s) that spans all markets and is focused on achievement of any strategic clinical services initiatives. On behalf of the system, serves as the medical group partner at the table with our clinically-integrated network to align influence our network quality goals with payers, and to speak to the medical group’s performance on these network goals. Oversees our site survey and site intervention process for above-referenced scope across the broad medical group geographical footprint. Given size of medical group, system director will need to identify champions on each market and employ scalable models (i.e. a “train the trainer” model). Closely collaborates with system nursing and quality leaders as well as the medical group Practice Transformation Council (PTC) to ensure alignment of clinical services strategies, priorities and initiatives across the medical group. Effectively communicate projected outcomes, timeframes, interdependencies and accountabilities to all parties. Licensing/Certification Current RN License in the state in which they are working or covered by compact (required) Education Bachelors, Business, Healthcare or related field (required) Masters, Business, Healthcare or related field (preferred) Work Experience 2 years' experience in leadership or management (required) 7 years' experience in clinical care in the healthcare industry (required) Training Epic (preferred) Skills Strong client service focus with ability to quickly analyze issue and identify solutions Proven ability to manage multiple streams of work Knowledge and experience with respect to technology Proficient in all Microsoft Office products Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong presentation skills Client service focus Solution-focused leadership Bon Secours Mercy Health is an equal opportunity employer.
