Summary/Objective
The Compliance Specialist position is responsible for assisting the Compliance Manager in the support operational compliance tasks and the performance of audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulatory guidelines. This position works in conjunction with the Compliance Team and internal stakeholders to drive compliant processes across the organization. Responsible for promoting a strong code of ethics and integrity within the company through auditing, documentation of audit findings and the remediation of audit findings. This position is located in Indianapolis, Indiana, North of Allisonville and offers a hybrid work schedule after training.
Essential Functions
- Performs audits of internal processes including, but not limited to, telephone communications with consumers (call monitoring) and daily account management.
- Performs targeted audits of select Location Services processes by understanding organization objectives, structure, policies, processes, internal controls, and external regulations; identifying risk areas and opportunities to mitigate risk.
- Assists with the assessment of risks and internal controls by identifying areas of non-compliance; evaluating manual and automated processes; identifying process weaknesses and inefficiencies and operational issues.
- Provide proactive, clear and actionable recommendations to Compliance Manager.
- Completes audit work papers and memoranda by accurately and effectively documenting and communicating audits results and findings.
- Maintains strong collaborative relationships within Location Services.
- Perform special projects as assigned
Education and Experience
- 2 years in office environment with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software
- Preferred 2 years experience in an applicable risk management, quality assurance or compliance environment preferred
- Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience indicative of a high degree of organization and attention to detail, with demonstrated success in juggling multiple assignments and ability to meet deadlines even with shifting priorities
- Able to sift through complex process material to extract and organize relevant information for documentation purposes
- Work and academic record reflects high motivation for success working both independently and part of a team

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are variable and based on business need. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Physical Requirements
This position is indoors. Must be able to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period. May be asked to lift approximately 25 lbs. Exposure to moderate noise and light, i.e., business office with computers, phone, printers, light foot traffic.
