Position Overview: As an Optometric Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our optometrists and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. From preparing patients for exams to performing technical tests, your work will directly impact the quality of care we provide. We're seeking a proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about contributing to a team effort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist optometrists in performing eye exams and diagnostic tests (e.g., visual acuity, tonometry, and refraction)
• Take patient histories and record necessary information into the electronic health record system
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure that equipment is ready for use
• Provide patients with instructions for contact lens care and handling
• Handle patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow
• Maintain and sterilize equipment and instruments to ensure they are in optimal working condition
• Work closely with the front office team to ensure a seamless patient experience from check-in to check-out
• Help ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for both patients and staff

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (certification in optometric technology is a plus)
• Previous experience in an optometry or healthcare setting preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with patients and a collaborative team
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• A friendly, professional, and patient-centered demeanor
• A willingness to learn and adapt in a supportive, team-driven office
