What are the responsibilities and job description for the Armed Uniformed Event Security Officer position at 907 Tactical Security Group?
This position is for Event Security and the schedule is based upon the events. The officer may be requested to assist in emergencies or shift coverage of security based upon additional security training or certification needs.
As an event security officer, you are the one responsible for ensuring safety and security for the public during events. You would be there to monitor security equipment, verify no one is attempting to bring in unauthorized items into the building, and respond to potential crises. This position includes front-facing with the public using the weapons detection system, as well as working in a fast-paced environment and performing interior and exterior rounds.
To thrive in this position, you must have solid customer service and interpersonal skills, be comfortable working with and learning new technology, be able to de-escalate tense individuals, and remain calm, level headed, and self-controlled in emergencies.

Hours per week may vary. Events can be any day of the week. A typical shift is 3-6 hours. Those hours extend depending on event times, which can be as late as 11 pm. This position is Part Time/on call/as needed.
All candidates that successfully complete the application will be considered, however, preference will be given to candidates with prior law enforcement, military, and/or armed guard training and experience.
Position Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to the following.
- Ensures quality of service standards and contract compliances are being adhered to.
- Maintains radio contact with dispatch or other event personnel during patrols.
- Warns or ejects troublemakers, or unauthorized persons, and cautions careless persons.
- Obtains assistance for accident victims and writes accident reports.
- Notifies management and staff of the presence of people with questionable reputations.
- Assists management and law enforcement officers in emergencies.
- Performs package searches when applicable.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Investigate irregularities and hazards and forward them to appropriate personnel.
- Verbally De-Escalate confrontations.
- Physically remove or detain hostile attendees that violate policy.
- Observation of crowd dynamics and behavior.
- Other duties as assigned
