Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented patient coordinator to oversee personal injury cases on behalf of our medical practice. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of personal injury cases, from intake to resolution, while ensuring that our patients receive the care and support they need throughout the legal process.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial intake interviews with personal injury patients and assess the viability of potential cases.
- Gather and review medical records, diagnostic reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Coordinate with attorneys, insurance companies, and other parties involved in personal injury cases.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for law firms and the patients they represent, providing support and guidance throughout the legal process.
- Manage case timelines, deadlines, and court appearances to ensure timely resolution of cases.
- Assist with the preparation of legal documents, responding to settlement agreements, and court filings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with medical providers to ensure that patients receive appropriate treatment and care for their pain conditions.
- Provide regular updates to patients, medical providers, and law firms on the status of personal injury cases.
Must-Have:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a case manager, referral coordinator, or patient care coordinator
- Basic understanding of medical terminology, diagnoses, and treatment procedures related to common injuries in personal injury cases.
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation skills, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal software applications.
