Senior Account Manager
What you will do
The Senior Account Manager is the main point of contact for some of Fish 919’s largest clients. They own the setup, delivery, and optimization of marketing campaigns for Fish 919s high tier clients in collaboration with cross functional partners. This person is an expert in managing client expectations with proactive communication, project management, and strategy/tactical recommendations. The Sr. AM makes a large impact on the team, supporting the Account Supervisor with strategic initiatives, mentoring junior employees, and being a prime example of incredible account management. What to expect
o Main point of contact for larger / higher caliber clients, managing multiple complex client relationships simultaneously.
o Is the subject matter expert in the client’s industry on the most effective campaign strategies
o Takes full ownership of all client communications; ensuring work is completed, realistic expectations are set, scheduling, etc. The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for multi-brand, multi service, and high monthly retainer clients.
o Schedule, prepare, and send client meeting agendas. Delivers and presents conference reports.
o Lead client meetings and strategy recommendations (with support of appointed Account Supervisor when applicable).
o Coordinate all needed information between client and internal teams- heavily utilizes the internal project management system to assign tasks internally and hold the team accountable to those tasks.
o Dashboard and scorecard development & analysis - reviews client scorecards and analyzes the data in preparation for client meetings to provide insights to marketing strategy, results, and next steps.
o Prepare reports (documents, powerpoints, etc) with the ability to tell data-driven stories and key highlights/executive summary to client leadership.
o Quality control –ensures tasks are completed accurately, completely, and up to client and agency standards
o Consistently monitor client KPIs with work performed by 919 to ensure successful, quality results.
o Complete progress reports for Account Supervisor, Directors, EVP’s and clients.
o Manages and tracks large budgets – informs internal teams and communicates strategic budget changes
o Consistently finds innovative ways to improve results for client campaigns
o Help Account Supervisor identify areas for upsell per client, creates and maintains account plans within assigned portfolio, emphasizing high-growth prospects, specific target accounts, and categories for development
o Travel to client conferences/ meetings as needed.
o Acts as a mentor or “buddy” to more junior level employees/interns while cultivating comradery and collaboration
o Stays ahead of marketing trends, asks questions to internal experts, and educates self on 919 products and services (digital, PR, SEO, etc.)
o Other duties as assigned
What we are looking for
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration highly preferred.
• 5 years’ experience working in marketing, project management or customer service within the marketing industry.
• Agency experience highly preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
• Excellent task management skills plus the ability to manage tasks and relationships with large brand clients within various industries simultaneously.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and hold cross-functional internal team members accountable.
• Strong communication skills: ability to effectively communicate internally and externally; acts as an example to more junior level employees and exemplifies what proactive, organized communication looks like.
• Ability to present information with accurate insights, explanations, and recommendations via email, telephone, and over electronic media such as web conferencing.
• Adaptability and flexibility to work in an ever-changing digital landscape.
• Must be a team player who is highly motivated, and solution driven. Thinking strategically is a must!
• Professional level knowledge of inbound marketing strategies; ability to effectively represent agency as marketing expert/ knowledgeable marketing partner.
