Warehouse Manager

General Summary of Position

A-1 Alternative Fuel Systems is looking for a Warehouse Manager for our Elkhart, IN facility. This is an opportunity for a full-time position that offers full benefits (healthcare, matching 401K, paid vacation/holidays), and opportunity for growth.

Employee will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the warehouse, including: inventory control, picking/pulling of parts for jobs, shipping and receiving parts, and in-take/check-in of parts. Employee will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of vehicle inventory, including: in-take/check-in of vehicles, shipping/release of vehicles, and organization of parking lot. Position will directly report to Plant Manager.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management, shipping, receiving, and inventory control. This individual will be exceptionally detail-oriented, hard-working, a team player, and able to manage multiple facets of warehouse operations simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage workload and responsibilities with little direct oversight. This position requires general computer knowledge and manual labor (stocking parts, packaging parts, etc.). Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and experience with forklift operation.

Job Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of warehouse management experience is required
• Computer experience (Microsoft word, excel, outlook, ERP/MRP Systems)
• Inventory control experience
• Parts picking experience
• Expert level ability to operate a forklift & pallet jack
• Excellent work ethic
• Excellent organization skills
• Ability to work as a team player
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Valid Driver’s License and clear driving history
• Must be able to stand, sit, bend, pull, twist, push and pull for sustained periods of time. Must be able to work in a warehouse, shop and outdoors.
• Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
• 1 year of people management experience is a plus

Duties

• Pick, pack and ship products
• Maintain accurate inventory in proper warehouse racking and storage areas
• Keeping stock control and ensure inventory accuracy
• Releasing material to installers
• Data entry of inventory, products received, products picked, and products shipped out into MRP database
• Load and unload trucks with forklift
• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures
• Create, update, and manage racks shelves, or bins to accommodate new inventory and/or changes to inventory
• Package shipments in accordance with documented policies, standard operating procedures, customer, and regulatory requirements
• Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
• Communicate and cooperate with Plant Manager and coworkers.
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Receive/check-in, and process in-take of vehicles
• Complete visual inspections of vehicles received and record/report damage
• Process the release of vehicles
• Maintain an organized parking lot/vehicle inventory per Plant Manager direction/instruction
• Data entry of vehicles received and released
• Performs other administrative and related duties as assigned by management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
