Job Overview
Primary responsibilities include:
- Providing timely and quality repairs of customers' appliance products
- Maintaining high-quality customer service and care
- Meeting key performance metrics and/or productivity goals
- Providing knowledgeable and courteous repair service
- Looking for ways to improve business performance and enhance the customer experience
- Maintaining stock inventory within the prescribed company guidelines and standards
- Work remotely from home and use a smartphone device to receive dispatches for a flexible daily schedule
Additional requirements of this position include:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to use a smart phone for parts inquiries and ordering
- Working mechanical knowledge, including the use of tools and test equipment including digital multimeters
- Ability to perform accurate repair of customer product
- Ability to follow directions and specific process steps to ensure quality workmanship
- Flexibility to work variable and flexible hours, including overtime
- Posses mechanical ability and understand basic computer knowledge
- Ability to support our company brand as an advocate
- Must complete all technician training elements within required time frames
- Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license for the state in which you are applying
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Other responsibilities include identifying part numbers and part descriptions based off of part diagrams, updating service tracking software on a call by call basis and organizing fuel receipts and expenses for office review. Other duties may be added to the job at the discretion of the company. The position requires a lot of driving, so a clean driving record is important. The technician must supply their own tools and their own vehicle. Fuel reimbursement, uniforms and a company cell phone will be provided upon completion of the initial training period. If this position becomes a full time permanent position, paid vacation days and sick leave can be earned after the completion of a 6 month probation period. Access to health insurance and 401k after 1 year. Commission programs and quarterly incentive programs are offered based on job performance and progression. This service technician will be covering many counties in PA and OH. Training will take place with the lead technician in our Washington, PA territory. Pay is based on experience.
