Role: Sr. Data Engineer (Snowflake AI/ML Specialization)
Location: NYC, NY (Hybrid - 3 days onsite & 2 days remote)
Only : USC/GC
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Snowflake's AI and ML capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, experience with machine learning models, and proficiency in Python and SQL. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and architectures to support machine learning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust data pipelines in Snowflake Snowpark to support AI and ML workflows.
- Develop and optimize ETL processes to ensure efficient data ingestion and transformation..
- Write clean, maintainable code in Python to automate data processes and model training.
- Utilize SQL for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Monitor and enhance the performance of data systems and machine learning models.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
- Document processes, data flows, and model specifications.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong expertise in Snowflake, particularly its AI and ML capabilities.
- Familiarity with machine learning models for text matching, churn prediction and time series analysis , including but not limited to :
- - Cosine Similarity
- - K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN)
- - Linear Regression
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation.
- Proficiency in Python's ML ecosystem (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience in Optimizations and fine-tune models for performance, accuracy, and scalability.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and managing data.
- Experience with data modeling and database design principles.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with additional programming languages (e.g., Java, R) is a plus.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud platform and its data engineering and ML tools such as Sagemaker.
- Understanding of data governance and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
