Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of facilities by performing various maintenance tasks. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The Maintenance Person will work on a variety of systems and equipment, ensuring that all maintenance activities are completed efficiently and effectively.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facilities, including electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Utilize tools such as an Ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed to ensure optimal functionality of equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Conduct residential painting tasks to maintain the aesthetic quality of facilities.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
- Operate logic controllers for automated systems, ensuring proper functionality and performance.
- Execute welding tasks as required for repairs or fabrication projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- MUST POSSESS YOUR OWN TOOLS
Experience
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, plumbing, and general repair skills is essential.
- Familiarity with using diagnostic tools such as Ohmmeters and schematics is highly desirable.
- Experience in residential painting and welding will be considered an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
