Responsibilities

• Sell company products and services to customers by processing orders, price and delivery inquiries, and support outside sale staff with their orders and quotes in a fast multi-tasking environment.
• Maintains responsibility for orders from quote to sales order
• Select and specify a variety of products utilizing a variety of vendors.
• Process customers’ orders and send requested order acknowledgments.
• Review customer purchase orders for special conditions / documentation.
• Check availability and verify the ship date.
• Increase order size by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checking customers’ buying histories.
• Process and expedite orders, customer returns, and returns to vendors in an accurate and timely manner.
• Works closely with an outside salesman in soliciting business, executing order transactions, and maintaining superior customer service levels.
• Works closely with buyers to locate products and ensure timely delivery.
• Communicates effectively and participates positively as a member of the inside sales team.
• Review open customer order reports and take action on open items in a timely manner; specifically, those
• items that may be at risk in meeting the customer’s promised delivery date.
• Willingness to be flexible, including working overtime, and performing responsibilities not specifically
• identified in the job description and assuming new responsibilities for the betterment of A-1 Industrial Supply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years experience in the Customer Service related Industry and Inside Sales preferred.
• Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with A-1 Industrial Supply warehouse and delivery methods, techniques, and procedures.
• Ability to use MS Office, proficiency in MS Excel, and basic understanding and navigation of inventory software.
• Familiarity with pricing schemes and suppliers.
• Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner and listen attentively to others, and understands the material.
• Strong verbal, written, mathematical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain a good working relationship with customers, co-workers, supervisors, management, and various personnel.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers / peers / supervisors.
• Attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in customer orders.
• Ability to problem solve and follow-up on pending items
• Must be able to pass a random drug test.

Salary : $19 - $21
