Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Review construction documents and understands scope of work to bid
- Read and understand salesmen notes and specifications to confirm proper paper work is created.
- Provide necessary support to other team members to be able to complete tasks on time.
- Create and maintain cordial and collaborative working relationships with superiors, co - workers, builders and inspectors.
- Visit construction sites and observe methods of construction to gain additional insight that will assist in accurately estimating jobs
- Develops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, etc.
- Review all estimates with Group Leader or Project Manager to ensure accuracy and completeness, prior to formal quotation
- Utilize standard formats for completing the estimates
- Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to backup estimate figures
- File all incoming vendor quotes and subcontractor quotes in the job folder
- Track estimates for status
- Maintain a bid sheet with all pertinent information
- Attends departmental meetings as required
- Regular in-person attendance
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
