Fabrication - Junior Technician
With this position, the Junior tech will begin the journey of becoming a high level fabricator. The Junior technician will join a team of fabricators that are responsible for some of the duties below. The tech will have to rely on their Department Lead and fellow teammates for feedback, training and support, take online training, do hands-on technical training as well as prepare for various tests and certifications. The Junior Technician is mid-way on the path to Senior Fabricator. To be successful as a Fabrication Junior Technician, the team member should display a motivation towards detailed results. Safety is a priority. This team member will be committed to working according to our safety standards while operating at an efficient pace. The Junior Technician will not be held to the efficiency standards of a Senior level Tech as they are in the middle stages of the learning process. This position may also be offered as part time or temporary for which current employees may apply. Fabrication Junior Technician Responsibilities :
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace while having all tools and equipment organized and in proper working order.
- Use of various hand tools and shop equipment where training may be provided. This includes Saws, Brakes, Shears, Notchers, Grinders, Welders, Torches and other tools.
- Work well in a team environment with a ready to learn attitude
- Use the proper materials and tools
- Can Read and build from blueprints
- Knows How to cut, bend and weld various metals
