Duties
- Drive a box truck or van to designated locations for package delivery.
- Follow established routes and schedules for efficient transportation.
- Load and unload packages, ensuring safe handling during transit.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking numbers and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
- Assist with moving items as needed, which may involve heavy lifting and manual handling.
Experience
- Proven experience in route driving or commercial driving preferred.
- Familiarity with operating box trucks, vans, or other commercial vehicles is a plus.
- Experience with forklift operation is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing delivery schedules.
- Previous experience as a courier or in a similar role is beneficial but not required.
