Unarmed Security Officer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, with an emphasis on conflict management, and patrol rounds.

The Security Officer will monitor premises conduct regular patrols, and respond to incidents as necessary.

Hours: Third shift 9pm to 5am or 10pm to 6am. Weekly pay and benefits for full time employees.

Duties

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter and detect signs of intrusion or unauthorized activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, providing first aid or CPR when necessary.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports for record-keeping purposes.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required to ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Assist in conflict management situations by utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.

Skills

• Certification in security-related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques; certification in these areas is advantageous.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail to identify potential security threats.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
