Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the premises while providing exceptional service.
Weekly pay and benefits for this full time position. 2nd shifts 2pm to 11pm.
Pay: $17.00-18.50 per hour.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, assessing the situation and taking appropriate action.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure safety protocols are being followed.
- Enforce rules and regulations regarding access control and visitor management.
- Provide assistance during conflicts or emergencies, employing conflict management techniques as necessary.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and any unusual occurrences.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure effective resolution of security issues.
- Maintain knowledge of first aid and CPR procedures to provide assistance in medical emergencies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certification is preferred.
- Previous experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is advantageous.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and techniques.
- Ability to operate CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment effectively.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
