About the Role:

The Field Installation Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that our durable goods are installed correctly and efficiently at customer sites. This position involves traveling to various locations to set up, test, and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality and functionality. The technician will work closely with clients to provide exceptional service and support, addressing any concerns or questions they may have during the installation process. Additionally, this role requires maintaining accurate records of installations and providing feedback to the engineering team for continuous improvement. Ultimately, the Field Installation Technician is essential in enhancing customer satisfaction and ensuring the successful deployment of our products.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical educational background in electrics or electronics equivalent or related discipline; or equivalent related work experience or combined of at least 8 years.
  • Advanced mechanical and electrical skills
  • The ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, technical instructions, Bills of Material and Quality standards.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in assembly and sub-assembly field service
  • Advanced knowledge of test equipment, engine dyno cells and other test solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a technical field or related discipline.
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in installation.

Responsibilities:

  • Frequent travel to customer locations to install and configure durable goods according to specifications.
  • Conduct thorough testing of installed equipment to ensure proper functionality and performance.
  • Provide on-site training and support to customers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Maintain detailed records of installations, including any issues encountered and resolutions provided.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and customer service teams to relay feedback and improve installation processes.

Strong communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with clients and provide them with the support they need during the installation process. Salary : $22 - $27
