The Material Handler Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient sorting and placement of materials on the conveyor line. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Essential Duties:
- Inspect materials and sort items or materials into piles or places in containers according to type, size, condition, coloring, or paper grade.
- Pull contaminants out of paper or off the floor.
- Stack boxes and skids.
- Dump boxes and totes of material.
- Feed material, such as wastepaper, onto the conveyor.
- Clean up the conveyor and surrounding sorting line.
- Keep the surrounding work area clean.
Qualifications:
- Three months related experience or training required.
- High School Diploma and at least three months related experience preferred.
