PLANT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Hourly Pay Rate: $35-450; This will depend on experience
Schedule: Monday through Friday; 7:00a-3:30p; The worker may be on call, and there is opportunity for overtime.
Interviews: Required; May be conducted onsite or virtually
PPE Requirements: Workers must have steel-toe safety boots. Additional PPE will be provided by WM.
Special Requirements: Proof of Citizenship required on the first day.
Position Overview:
This contract role involves performing mechanical duties within the facility, including maintenance and repair work related to engines, autos, diesel equipment, and landfill gas systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical maintenance and repair tasks.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment.
- Collaborate with team members and managers across various levels.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in engine repair, auto repair, diesel systems, and landfill gas.
- Proficiency with computers for basic tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Heavy equipment experience.
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Education and Experience
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (accredited).
- Experience: Two years of relevant work experience (preferred).
Onboarding Requirements
- Hazwoper Training - This role will require 40hr training to be scheduled by the vendor and completed prior to starting.
Key Interactions:
The contractor will work with different levels of management and team members, requiring excellent communication and a collaborative approach.
Assignment Goals:
- Focus on long-term success with a one-year contract and potential for temp-to-hire (TTH).
- Maintain high standards of performance and teamwork.
Potential Challenges:
