Position: Security Officer
Location: Tampa, FL
Type: Temporary | Contract | Part-time

Job Overview:
We are seeking professional and alert Security Officers to maintain the safety and security of patrons, staff, and property during large-scale events throughout the Tampa, FL region. From concerts and sporting events to festivals and private functions, you’ll be on the front lines of crowd control, safety enforcement, and emergency response.
The ideal candidate is highly observant, confident, well-trained in surveillance and de-escalation, and ready to respond quickly and effectively to any situation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol assigned premises regularly to ensure order and safety
- Monitor entry and exit points for authorized access
- Remove trespassers or individuals engaging in disruptive behavior
- Secure doors, gates, and exits after events or shifts
- Monitor surveillance systems and identify suspicious activity
- Investigate disturbances and verify suspicious individuals or items
- Respond promptly to alarms or emergency calls
- Assist guests and staff in need of support or guidance
- Apprehend and detain individuals in accordance with legal protocols until authorities arrive
- Maintain and submit daily activity and incident reports
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid security license (required)
- Proven experience as a security officer or guard (preferred)
- Knowledge of legal security and public safety regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication; report writing proficiency
- Excellent observation and decision-making skills
- Familiarity with surveillance systems and alarm monitoring
- Trained in First Aid, BLS, and basic self-defense techniques
- Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure environments
- High School Diploma or equivalent
