PRIMARY DUTIES: Manages the County Mailroom and Processes incoming and outgoing mail. Picks up and delivers inter-office mail and supplies. Responsible for all aspects of mailroom operations. Responsible for the mailing machine operations and supplies. Responsible for all warehouse functions such as receiving and delivery of supplies and copy paper. Inputs required information into computer system for inventory of jail and office supplies. Creates monthly and yearly reports for jail and office supplies through software. Oversees and is responsible for all aspects of the auctioning of surplus County equipment. Upkeeps the assigned County vehicle.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of general office practice and procedures. Knowledge of computer hardware and software and ability to maintain records. Experience with computers, copiers, fax machines, calculators, and light mechanical skills. Valid Texas Driver's License with an insurable record. Ability to read and understand postal regulations and county policies. Work requires balancing time between mail, supply room, and warehouse/auction responsibilities with servicing multiple department’s needs. Must be able to communicate clearly with all levels regarding postal regulations, machine operations, supply requirements, auction, and recycle processes. Must meet physical requirement of job in a fast paced environment.
SALARY: $14.44 p/h with benefits; work days & hours: Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
