Summary
The General Accountant acts as point of contact between the different parts of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and external parties, such as vendors, clients, or lenders. They may handle bookkeeping, assist in preparing financial reports, taxes, audits, and resolving discrepancies.
The ideal candidate is highly skilled, detail-oriented and excels at multitasking. The General Accountant should also be analytical, collaborative, and trustworthy.
Essential Functions

· Process sales orders and prepare A/R invoicing regularly
· Collect past-due customer invoices as necessary
· Collaborate with sales team to reconcile outstanding receivables
· Assist with A/P check run to ensure accuracy and compliance with the Purchase to Pay policy
· Assist with month-end close to include preparing journal entries and analysis of General Ledger accounts
· Preform various Account Reconciliation
· Support the company’s record keeping policy and procedures
· Assist with financial related projects as needed
· Support audit requests for documentation and support of account balances
· Collaborate with other departments to help manage spending and provide financial awareness
Skills and Abilities
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Good time management and problem-solving skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Power Point, etc.)
· Intermediate to expert level in Excel
· QuickBooks Online knowledge needed
· Strong understanding of accounting principles
· High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency, especially when multitasking
· Must be self-motivated and work independently with minimal direction
· Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, and occasionally ambiguous environment
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or business is preferred with a minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment. A combination of education and experience in accounting is also acceptable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,500.00 - $56,000.00 per year
