Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Clerk to join our dynamic team at one of our local clients in the Roanoke, VA area. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, including loading and unloading goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting order fulfillment processes. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Will be working on the production and returns clerk to calculate the scrap and finished goods on each completed production work order
- The ideal candidate will be processing all of the production work orders.
- Utilize AS400 or other warehouse management systems for tracking inventory levels and order processing.
- Review production work orders for accuracy
- Calculate production scrap and finished good
- Maintain accurate records/documentation associated with your work reporting any scrap
- Ensure compliance with codes of practice, procedure and health and safety
- Good communication, detail oriented and math skills
- Assist in order fulfillment by picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment in accordance with customer specifications.
- Manage shipping and receiving tasks, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists.
- Perform basic math calculations to ensure accuracy in inventory counts and order quantities.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not required.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems; experience with AS400 is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks accurately under pressure.
- Basic math skills for inventory management and order processing.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
